hello-world
I know it’s cliche to start with “hello world” but there’s something oddly fitting about it here. This is an experimental journal that happens to be publicly accessible - though with absolutely no tracking, I’ll never actually know if anyone reads it. And that’s exactly the point. There’s something liberating about that - creating a space that exists primarily for the writer rather than the reader.
Think of this as a personal reflections made public, but not public content made for consumption. The distinction matters. This isn’t just another blog, it’s fundamentally different in both philosophy and execution. It is more of an anti-blog:
- Where blogs assume and seek an audience, I embrace having the possibility of none.
- Where blogs actively use analytics/tracking to understand their readership on some level, I’ve deliberately made that impossible.
- Where blogs are focused on public content made for the public, this is focused on my private thoughts made available.
It’s not that I have anything against blogs. This is simply a different approach. It’s a space where I can collect and journal my thoughts without the psychological overhead of knowing who’s reading or how many times they’ve visited. The most successful outcome here would be that I manage to organize my thoughts while having virtually no readers.
The content itself will be whatever needs to come out - raw, unfiltered thoughts about existence, life, and whatever else demands expression. No content calendar, no SEO optimization, no carefully crafted takeaways. Just authentic reflection when it happens. I won’t waste time on mundane stuff because I don’t care to write about that. This is an experiment in digital journaling where the “publish” button happens to be switched on.
If you happen to be a real person, you’re welcome to read along, though I’ll never know if you do. If you’re curious about the name or why I’m doing this, there’s an about page that touches on it more. Or you can just dive in. Or don’t.
